Temple Abernathy's Trunk Found

A trunk belonging to Temple Abernathy and family was opened on June 2, 2007, at the Pioneer Township Museum in Frederick, Tillman Co, OK. The trunk had recently been found and saved from demolition by Temple's daughter, Marilyn, and her husband. They brought the trunk to share with the Tillman County Historical Society and other interested parties. Opening the trunk was truly a step back in time and into the lives of the Abernathy Brothers. One of the neatest things, I think, were the leather chaps worn by the boys on their historic rides! Check out the Museum in Frederick for more information on the "boys" and more great finds! More photos of the day will be included here......Kathy
